   Prostate Infection (General Health board)

7th February 2006
I have been having frequent urination lately for past month. Usuall every hour or 2 I have a ton of urine to dispose of. I went 2 weeks after initial symptoms to after hours and the UA was fine as was the Glucose in the blood. I told them I have been having problem with anxiety forever and that I probably wouuld like to try some medication for once. He said that if you have anxiety then that would probably be the cause of your frequent urination. So I left with a prescription to Celexa 10mg. Well 2 weeks later on that I am still doing the urination thing. So i decided to goto my reg doc earlier. They ran a UA, everything was fine, no blood tests. They said I had a temp of 100 yet i don't feel like I do, from there he checked my prostate and said he felt that it was enlarged. So he sent me on my way with Cipro and to call him in 2 weeks. Well I'm going to try that and hope that is what it is. But I am curious, when I got home and checked my temp it was 98.6. What could be the deal? Plus when I had that 100 degree temp I wasnt shaking. Though I do feel run down a lot today, but that is prolly due to Celexa and worrying about this issue. Question is, can enlarged prostate cause frequent urination with large amounts, no fever and no pain? I have no pain. Please let me know.

Thanks!
