   Which pill? (Birth Control board)

28th June 2007
I can't tell you which ones I'd reccommend because I had problems with all of the brands I tried. However, I can tell you which ones, through having read so many message boards like this one, have had the most frequent complaints and problems. That is, Yaz, Yasmin, Loestrin24fe, Seasonale/Seasonique and OTC and OTClo. The ones I hear least complaints about are orthocyclen, tri-norinyl and norinyl and demulen, although I would stay away from the demulen because it's been more implicated in blood clots than others.

I really think orthocyclen might be a good try. It's perhaps higher dose than some of the others, but sometimes that is better because there are less problems with breakthrough bleeding and spotting. Plus because it's been around forever, it seems like it has less problems to be worked out with the formula, unlike all of the newer ones like Yasmin and Yaz which have only been around a few years and haven't yet worked out all of their problems.
