What is with taking 1500 mgs of depakote all before bed????!! That's crazy. I take 1500 mgs ... then yes it will "numb" you.
But taking 1500mgs of depakote all at once will do nothing but screw up your liver ... mood stab.
Another note: if you are a mixed type, depakote is the proper choice, not lithium. It just adds another ... expense & toxicity.
I would prob change it to 1500 mg depakote spread over 3 times a day, an antidepressant is also ... sleep.
Also switch to extended release (generic) depakote - valproate. It works just as good for less $.
