Not sure if posted in the right area.
I’m seeking any feedback that anyone is willing to provide. Please provide comments it would help me out for sure. I am scheduled to see my family doctor later this month.
I am a 62 year old male that tries to stay in good health and shape. I exercise regularly to help keep my cholesterol in check – I’m also on Lipitor (10mg) for my cholesterol levels. I have, at times, cut back on the Lipitor to see if it helped the gas problem – but it didn’t.
I have had digestive gas problems for at least 4-5 years in the form of gas. The gas is usually in a belching form – mostly in the mornings but many times all day long. When I have these belching episodes I also feel sometimes lightheaded and just “out of sorts” feeling like not doing much with very little energy. I’m usually a very active person. Some days I don’t have the belching problem and I feel back to normal but then the belching returns.
Now about 6 months ago the belching seemed to start getting worst and I have steadily been loosing weight. I have lost maybe 16 pounds over the last few months – which is not normal for me. Some of the other symptoms I have are: very little energy- very fatigue, my stools have a very bad odor and are sometimes soft and sometimes hard, my stomach hurts – kinda bloated, etc.
Again some days I feel back to normal with none of these symptoms but then the symptoms return.
The steady weight loss has me very concerned. I eat a lot and have even started having a protein drink or two each day but I seem to still be losing the weight a little at a time and have very little energy during these episodes.
I have my suspicions but would really like to hear from you people.
