Nerve pulses in head only at sleep. (Brain & Nervous System Disorders board)

16th May 2007
Hi all, I am a first timer here. I have been looking for a forum that I can share my problems with. At night just when I start falling into sleep I, somtimes, get these nerve like bursts in my head. Doesn't do it at other times just at getting to sleep and sometimes it wakes me up from a deep sleep. There is no pain with it. It's kind of like the twitching we all get in our eye lid ot other skin areas, uneven twitchs, not evenly spaced. It's not heart because I have an arrythmia problem that I can feel and it doesn't mirror it at all. Sometimes I think it could be related to my tinnitus/ear ringing but I don't know since I have had the tinnitus for about 12 years. At night when it bothers me I just open my eyes and sit up and it is gone just to possibly reappear at getting back to sleep. I do have some nights without having the problem but it seems to be getting fairly frequent. I am on heart medicine and vytorin, as well as some vitamins that I have been on all of them for years. Any comments or help sure would be appreciated. Thanks all.... Gary
